What is a child-centric curriculum? It is an educational approach that shifts the focus of instruction from the teacher to the child — honoring each child’s natural interests while balancing developmental milestones across math, language, sensorial, and culture.
In our small-group classrooms at Aarlo Preschool, children practice Freedom with Responsibility: they have the freedom to choose activities from the Montessori Lab shelves that spark their curiosity, while learning the responsibility of treating peers kindly and returning materials neatly.
Furthermore, collaborative mixed-age interactions encourage children to cooperate rather than compete. Younger children naturally look up to older peers to learn communication and new skills, while 4-to-5-year-old children blossom into patient helpers and confident decision-makers.
Every decision we make at Aarlo Preschool comes back to one question: Is this truly good for the child? Come visit our Seegehalli, K R Puram campus to see our confident, curious, and kind learners in action!
