How is Aarlo Preschool different from conventional preschools in K R Puram?

Aarlo Preschool follows a scientifically designed Montessori and activity-based curriculum using a concrete-to-abstract learning methodology. Instead of rote memorization or lectures, children work hands-on with self-correcting Montessori Lab materials in small groups, aligned with NEP 2020 and NCF.

What specific language and math milestones will my child achieve by age 4?

With 20 months of exposure to our Aarlo Montessori curriculum (by around 4 years of age), children understand the mathematical place value system (units, tens, hundreds, and thousands) and can phonetically read 3-letter and 4-letter words in addition to recognizing the alphabet.

How do you conduct assessments? Does my child have to take monthly tests or exams?

We do not conduct stressful monthly tests or exams. Instead, our trained teachers perform continuous daily observations as children interact with materials in our structured environment, recording developmental milestones in our app and sharing regular progress updates with parents.

When will my child start writing, and why do you introduce materials before writing?

Writing is an expression of what a child already understands. Children first experience concepts concretely using hands-on Montessori materials, which simultaneously strengthens their fine motor pincer grip. Natural, confident writing of letters and numbers typically begins around 3 to 4 years of age.

Is Aarlo Preschool’s syllabus aligned with CBSE, ICSE, or State Board?

Our curriculum is aligned with India’s National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and National Curriculum Framework (NCF-FS). By building deep concrete-to-abstract foundations in literacy, numeracy, logic, and sensorial skills, our UKG graduates transition seamlessly into Grade 1 across CBSE, ICSE, IB, and State Board schools.

Do you provide curriculum books, worksheets, rhymes, and stories?

Yes. Every child receives structured curriculum books and worksheets that align directly with the hands-on activities performed in our Montessori Lab. Daily sessions also include rhymes and storytelling to build vocabulary, memory patterns, listening comprehension, and inferencing skills.

Is Aarlo Preschool CCTV-enabled and how is camera access handled?

Yes, Aarlo Preschool is a 24/7 CCTV-enabled campus with strict safeguarding and emergency protocols. To protect the privacy of all children, live feeds are monitored internally by management, and footage is readily shared with parents in the event of any incident or emergency.

My child is not potty trained or is experiencing separation anxiety. How will you help them settle?

Our caring child support staff assists children with patience and regular washroom routines without pressure. For new toddlers experiencing separation anxiety, we provide a dedicated Settlement Corner featuring calming water play, sand art blocks, painting, and books, paired with a gradual time-progression schedule.

My child is 2.5 years old — how do Exercises of Practical Life (EPL) and meal times work?

Toddlers naturally love independence. Through Exercises of Practical Life (EPL) and encouraging nutritious finger foods, children learn self-care, motor coordination, and sensory awareness of food while always being lovingly supervised by our teachers and support staff.
